4th Of July Firecracker Cake

I made this super easy cake for the 4th of July!

These ingredients (Betty Crocker SuperMoist White Cake MixBetty Crocker Whipped Vanilla Frosting & red and blue food coloring) plus 3 eggs, oil & water. Mix cake mix according to package directions.

In separate bowls, put 1 cup of the cake batter in each bowl. Add red and blue food coloring to each one until desired color is achieved.

It is extremely important to make sure your bundt pan is greased and floured. Trust me! My first one may or may not have stuck because it wasn't greased enough!! Epic fail! On the second go around, I used a baking spray with flour & needless to say it came out beautifully! Ok, after you have the red, blue and remaining cake batter, you will add all of the red cake batter to the bottom of the pan.

Then, you will add all of the remaining white cake batter on top of the red cake batter. There is no need to spread it out. Just distribute it evenly.

Next, you will add all of the blue cake batter on top of the white cake batter. Just create a ring in the middle of the pan as shown in the above pic. Don't worry if it is not perfect because I can assure mine was not either!

Bake the cake at 325 degrees for approximately 40 to 45 min (baking times may vary depending on your oven). Allow the cake to cool for approximately 30 min before removing it from the pan. Once, the cake has cooled completely, you can then start decorating it! Divide frosting into 3 microwave safe bowls. Add red and blue food coloring to 2 of the bowls. Microwave each bowl for about 10 seconds. Drizzle each color frosting in a back and forth pattern over the cake. I started with white, then red and ended with blue. If you want, you can add festive sprinkles too!

And that's it! A perfect little festive cake for the 4th! Thanks so much for stopping by!
