SNS Nails Review

Happy Valentine's Day! Today, I'm sharing a review of the SNS nail manicure. I've been hearing a lot about it and since I had a gift certificate to a nail salon that does SNS nails, I decided to give it a try! I knew that it involved dipping your nails into powder but other than that I wasn't sure what else to expect. The process was fairly easy and quick not to mention it is suppose to be better for your nails because it doesn't involve any chemicals/UV light. After the nail technician did the first part of the manicure, she applied a clear gel coating and dipped my nails into a white base powder. Next, she applied the gel coating again and dipped my nails into the colored powder. This step was repeated again with the color powder. After this, she applied another coat of the clear gel and dipped my nails into a finishing powder. Once this dried, she went over my nails with a buffer and applied 2 coats of a clear top coat gel. I held my nails in front a fan for a few minutes and then she applied an oil solution on my finger nails and had me wash my hands. I was really impressed with the final outcome! It is supposed to last about 14 days. I will say that the price point is a little higher than a regular manicure or a gel manicure that requires a UV light, however I think the quality is so much better!  Since this is a fairly new technique in some salons, the color options can be limited. Fortunately, the salon I went to had at least 20 color options. The color I chose was called Pink Flamingo (I think it is the #8). It is a very pretty pink color with a subtle glitter to it. You can learn more about SNS nails here.
